Start a YouTube channel
This is something I specialize in because I am here on YouTube and actually teach a course called Part-Time You Tuber Academy, linked to a video description where I teach people to do this kind of thing. So let's use the side hustle assessment matrix and we'll talk about this. How difficult is it to start a YouTube channel? However, I will give this one out of five stars because it is actually very easy to start a YouTube channel.
Just log on to youtube.com. You click to create a channel and you can upload videos by simply downloading your phone and uploading it. In fact, it is very difficult to make good videos, and making good videos is the way you grow on YouTube. But getting started on YouTube is very straightforward, going forward.
The real question is how difficult is it to make real money with YouTube? So again, let's say we want to make $ 100 a month with idle income. What does that look like? However, first of all, in order to make money on YouTube, you need 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours of viewing time. It took me six months and 52 videos to find my first 1,000 subscribers. And if we look at the average, It takes an average of 90 specific videos to reach 1,000 subscribers.
So that's hard when you think you're going to start a YouTube channel and start making money from your first day, you know, that won't happen. It took me 52 videos, six months to get there. So when people send me a message saying, "Hey, I want to start YouTube ..." I would say, "Look, you should be able to make an effort and do this for a very long time at least once a week." Even at least two years before you expect or what a return. 
But suppose you have reached your 1,000 subscribers and your 4,000 hours of viewing time. How hard is it to make $ 100 a month? However, on average, the revenue per thousand views on YouTube is about $ 2. So this is very different, but let's say on average about $ 2 per thousand views. So if you want to make $ 100 a month you need 50,000 views on YouTube to make $ 100 a month. Let’s say you make one video a week and let’s assume you don’t get traffic to your old videos.
That means that every video you make requires about 12,500 views. And the average YouTube channel can expect its 20% subscribers to equal the average number of views per video. So on YouTube, if you had 62,000 subscribers, most likely, average earnings, you would expect 20% of them which means 12,500 views per video.
And if you think you have no raw content for a long time you will need to use about 60,000 subscribers to make $ 100 a month. In fact, she made $ 100 a month more than 60,000 subscribers. I think I was making $ 100 a month when I had some 10,000 subscribers, like it was very early in the morning.
But when it comes to testing how difficult it is to do this I will give you four out of five stars. It is actually very difficult to make compelling YouTube videos and very easy to get started, but it is hard to do well. It's totally worth it, it's a set of good skills, it's really fun. You can find people all over the internet. You learn how to talk to the camera and how to record and edit video.
And it 's really good but very difficult to make money with YouTube. Finally, about the last attempt. Like finding out that the first thousand subscribers are a lot harder than keeping it growing. Because once you have a thousand subscribers and when your channel grows it means you have got an active formula. And so keeping it simple and starting from scratch.
So on our side of the turmoil testing matrix we will make YouTube channel revenue management almost two-fifths of the star. To use my example, I made 70 videos before I started making money with YouTube AdSense. And these days the YouTube channel makes about $ 12,000 a month in revenue from YouTube AdSense.
Now, again, this is not entirely just because I keep uploading new videos, but actually the amount of revenue we get from ads comes from older videos than videos uploaded this month. So with that in mind, $ 12,000 a month is estimated at $ 3,000 a week thanks to this YouTube channel and thank you for your support and all those things.
There are other ways to make money with YouTube, such as product deals and sales and all sorts of other things. But it does not actually count as revenue for YouTube, which is why I do not include this in this side of the hustle matrix test. to start a podcast
